My new Orchid.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I believe the tree looks healthier only four days after I bought it. I love my little bonsai.

It’s like 5am, I’m dead fucking tired, and I can’t stop wondering if I’m an actual plant hoarder. Like, not in the bad way. Just because I have such a love for houseplants. Okay, so maybe that’s a bad way all on it’s own. I’m one of those people who refers to his plants as his babies, mainly because I coddle them the way you would a sick child. When riding home with my new bonsai today, I held it in my arm like a child so it wouldn’t have to sit on the ground. And after looking at Tumblr pics of succulents, I’ve found out that my thirst to own every succulent plant ever hasn’t been quenched yet. So. Fuck. At least I’m good at gardening? Idk. Is this normal? Do people other than me have this sort of obsession and honest to God LOVE for their plants/gardening? Or is it just my crazy ass?

I want to fix all house plants

Every day of my life. It seems like every time I go into a friend or relative’s house, they’re doing it WRONG. And then I want to tell them exactly what they’re doing wrong, and how to fix it…. but I don’t, because I don’t want to seem like some freak show plant whisperer.

So my backyard always had a bonsai tree that has been slowly dying. Recently I purchased my own bonsai tree because I remembered that my lolo(grandpa) had his own bonsai collection before he was hospitalized. I put it next to the old bonsai tree which surprisingly is starting to become more green. When I asked my parents if they noticed my new bonsai, they told me that the old bonsai is actually my grandfather’s(who passed away.) This was probably the most enlightening thing I heard in a while. When my grandfather passed away, I realized that I didn’t have anything physical to remember him by. I now make it my promise to take care of this bonsai tree and have my bonsai tree accompany it. It’s already starting to look more greener and greener. I love and miss you everyday lolo. Thank you for raising me.

This is one of the most beautiful and touching posts I’ve ever read. Your bonsai (and your lolo’s) look absolutely beautiful. :)

My new little Fukian Tea bonsai. Isn’t it gorgeous? Anyone who can give me tips and pointers on shaping is more than welcome to!

The best part of owning Hostas and having them planted around your house is the occasional little purple flowers. They’re beautiful.
